What is Midwifery Care?

Midwifery care is a type of healthcare provided by a midwife. They are trained professionals who specialize in supporting women during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. Midwives provide women with personalized care that is focused on the woman's individual needs and preferences. They work with women to help them make choices that are right for them and provide emotional, physical, and educational support throughout the pregnancy, labor and delivery, and after the baby is born.

They also provide routine health care such as gynecological exams, contraceptive counseling, and menopausal care. Midwifery care is generally more natural and focused on the normal processes of pregnancy and childbirth rather than intervening with medical technologies unless it's medically necessary or preferred by the expectant mother.
