Labor & Birth Support

Onkwehón:we Midwives support the natural physiologic process that is birth. Your midwife will provide care during labor, birth and the immediate postpartum period. The midwife will assess labor progress, maternal and fetal vital signs, offer comfort measures, and assist the birth of the baby and placenta thereafter. Thorough examination of the newborn and close maternal monitoring will occur until both are stable and free of any complications.

Doulas can be made available for additional physical and emotional support during labor. Your midwife can discuss these options in further detail upon request.
