Week One encourages us to "Add Color to the Budget.” Week Two's theme is "Store It Right, Keep It Fresh," reminding us that storing produce in cool, dry places helps maintain their quality. For instance, potatoes, onions, apples, and bananas thrive best in such conditions, while lettuce, berries, and peppers should be refrigerated for freshness. Week Three invites us to "Cook in Color," inspiring culinary creativity with recipes like a grilled vegetable mix featuring zucchini, colorful bell peppers, red onion, and squash. Don't forget to add grilled watermelon seasoned with honey, lime, and cilantro for a taste of summer perfection. Finally, Week Four encourages us to "Bump Up the Fruits and Vegetables," urging us to incorporate these nutritious foods into every meal. The American Heart Association recommends filling half of your plate with fruits and veggies to help meet the daily requirement of 4½ cups of each. These foods are packed with essential nutrients like fiber, potassium, folate, and vitamins A and C, which are known to promote heart health and reduce the risk of diseases like cancer.

Remember, the key to maximizing nutritional benefits is to consume fruits and vegetables of various colors, ensuring a diverse intake of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
